I am not a doctor but I am an engineer.
I entered the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) way back in 2006 with a degree of BS Chemical Engineering. It’s a long story why I changed my first choice which is Agricultural Engineering to Chemical Engineering. My life as an engineering student was not fairytale, not that I wasn’t able to find my princess but there were struggles along the way specifically in my finances and thesis. But thank God I still graduated on time and passed the board exam after graduation.
I am not a doctor but I am an environmentalist.
I am currently working as the Pollution Control Officer (PCO) of UPLB. My thesis adviser offered me this position since he was the consultant of the university in this aspect of pollution management. As an employee of the university, it was a privilege to enroll a master’s degree for free but only on a part-time basis. Amazingly, it is already my 4th semester in MS Environmental Science. Next semester, I’ll be working on my thesis. Hooray!
I am not a doctor but I am a senator.
Just kidding. 🙂 The photo above was taken at the Senate of the Philippines during the field trip in our public policy class. I want to enter politics when I reach my retirement age but only in the smallest political unit – barangay level. I want to be a consultant of decision makers too – youth development, environmental management and policy making. I want to offer whatever knowledge I will acquire which can be helpful in answering some of the critical problems of the society.
I am not a doctor but I am Dr. Eamer.
I am Joseph. I am not a medical “doctor” or a PhD graduate but I want to be called Doctor Eamer <Dr. Eamer>. If you know the story of the sons of Israel which was mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible, then you must be familiar with the story of Joseph the Dreamer. I love his story. Read it for yourself. It is inspiring. 🙂
I started blogging last April 2014 in Tumblr. But I will be more active here in WordPress. I will challenge myself to post at least once a week, every Tuesday.

Hi Dr. Eamer 🙂 I was amazed to see you at my blog and to receive a flurry of notifications today. It’s nice to know someone reads my posts though jarring — I like to pretend that I merely write to a void and that others don’t really care about what I put in. It kind of scares the introvert in me knowing the public is privy to my thoughts. The main reason why I write is actually to have an outlet. But everytime someone likes my posts or comments on them, I feel inspired.
Though I’ll try to forget I have subscribers so I can write to express, and not to impress.
Btw – I am still lost. Forgive me but do I know you from way back and how did you find my blog?
PS – cool name. Dr. Eamer. And Joseph the Dreamer is my all-time Biblical hero too!
